A Single Tear

When the mounting burdens come down tumbling,
When the clouds shower their sorrow,
There is a rip,
A single tear,
When the plants bend in submission,
When the giraffes wish their necks were not cranes,
To dip into the small puddle of water that remains,
From that lonely single tear,
The utter betrayal, dishonour and misuse,
That causes the stormy rain to blow,
It's Industrialization, they'd call it,
oh but they forgot something,
The single tear is costly,
It marks the end of our wintery feathers,
It taints The beginning of the ravaging heat,
By then, they can do nothing but fall on their feet.
